KATE POWER
I have a collection of every single card I've ever received - several boxes full. I often revisit one I received from a boy my age. We were in kindergarten, I was having a soccer-themed birthday party and his card read in scraggly, almost illegible handwriting: I love you. Eighteen years ago, I never would've imagined that I would one day write a set of cards that might help someone get out of this sort of awkward situation.
