CHRISSY BOALS
When I was in elementary school, there were a lot of instances where I would be home alone with my mom and she would remember she needed to send a birthday card to a friend or relative. She would ask me to sign for both my brother and myself, and since I didn’t want the receiver to think my brother didn’t care to sign the card, I started to forge his signature. From there, I became fascinated with making my handwriting look as many different ways as I could, and my love for hand lettering was born. Paired with my love for all things paper goods, it’s been a lifelong dream to have my own greeting card line and I’m so excited that K + C Press is that dream finally coming to fruition.
K + C PRESS
When I met Kate and discovered she had the very same love of paper goods that I did, I knew we had to create our own line of greeting cards. Fueled by Kate’s incredible writing, my love of hand lettering, and our mutual dislike of confrontation, we present our very first line of cards — Non-Confrontation Confrontation Cards. We are currently in the illustration and design stage, but here are the beginning pieces of hand lettering and copy for the cards. Soon, we will begin screen printing, a skill we are both excited to learn
It’s always been a dream of mine to hand letter cards.
